Brian is another example of the rewards that can be gained for possessing the right attitude and working hard.
Brian began his career with Sunderland in 1989, and was part of the team that battled their way all through to the 1992 FA Cup Final before losing to Liverpool.
During his stay at Sunderland, he also gained six caps for England Under 21s, and was part of the England team that won the Toulon Under 21 tournament.
After making over 150 appearances for Sunderland, he joined Darlington in 1996, and was part of the squad that lost to Peterborough in the League Two play off final at Wembley in 2000.
He retired from professional football in 2002, and played and managed in part time football before joining MGFA in 2011. He was also appointed assistant manager at Darlington in the summer of 2012 when Martin Gray was appointed manager.
Brian holds a UEFA B licence and is fully CRB checked.
