Sean is a very experienced former pro, who started his career at Darlington, and played in the Premiership for West Bromwich Albion — so he’s proof that if you work hard enough and possess the correct attitude, then you can go a long way in your career!
Sean made his Darlington debut in 1991, and played for Quakers for five seasons, playing in the 1996 Third Division play off final, before he was transferred to Preston in November 1996.
He played at Preston for six years helping them to promotion to the Champsionship, before moving to Premiership club West Bromwich Albion in 2002, making his debut against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Even though Albion were relegated in 2003, he was captain when they won promotion back to the Premiership in 2004. After WBA, he played for Leeds United, Oldham (when Martin Gray was assistant manager there), and Fleetwood, before joining Darlington as coach when Martin was appointed manager in 2012.
